David G. Nini
Mr. Nini co-founded Lantana Energy Advisors in January 2003. Prior to founding Lantana, Mr. Nini worked with Torch Energy Advisors, Inc. from late 2000 until December 2002. Responsibilities included asset acquisitions, due diligence and PSA negotiations.
In 1993, he entered the natural gas commodity trading business at Coastal Gas Marketing until 1995, when he moved to Calgary as part of the group headed by J.P. Bryan that took over Gulf Canada Resources. There he led U.S. gas trading on behalf of Gulf Canada, building a third party U.S. business to 1.5 BCF/month.
Mr. Nini conceptualized and opened a Houston-based office for Gulf Canada to handle all U.S. gas marketing efforts, both physical and financial, Gulf Trading had first year sales over $200 million.
Mr. Nini graduated in 1989 from Texas Tech University with a BA in Public Relations and Marketing. His career following college involved prospect development, title research, land and mineral owner negotiations, oil & gas leasing, title opinions and curative for several majors.
Patrick M. McKinney
Mr. McKinney was most recently president and chief operating officer at Rex Energy Corporation. In his five years at Rex Energy, he guided the company to a 10-fold increase in production and proved reserves, while delivering industry-leading drill-bit finding and development costs.
Prior to Rex Energy, Mr. McKinney served as senior vice president, engineering and operations of Cano Petroleum. At Pioneer Natural Resources, he was the strategic worldwide portfolio manager responsible for capital spending and resource recovery determinations related to exploration and development in Canada, Argentina, Alaska, West Africa and Pioneer's domestic Permian and South Texas projects. Previously, he spent 18 years at Union Pacific Corporation and its E&P subsidiary, Union Pacific Resources.
Mr. McKinney has extensive experience in the evaluation and reporting of oil and gas reserves, evaluation of acquisition and divestiture opportunities and management and development of technical human capital. Mr. McKinney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming and a M.B.A from Pepperdine University.
Samantha (Sam) F. Holroyd
Ms. Holroyd joined Lantana Energy Advisors in 2018 with 27 years of experience in both the technical and commercial aspects of the business.
Ms. Holroyd has a broad foundation having worked with E&P operators (Shell, Range Resources, Tenneco and Arco), Consulting and Advisory Services (Ryder Scott Company) and Principal Investing (EIG, Denham Capital and TPG). Her experience spans acquisitions and divestitures, reserve evaluation and reporting, capital deployment and unlocking additional value for shareholders. She has global geographic experience, with recent, relevant lower-48 involvement in the Permian, MidCon, ArkLaTex, Appalachia, Gulf Coast/GOM, SCOOP/STACK, Bakken and Powder River Basin.
Ms. Holroyd graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a BS in Petroleum Engineering. She is a Registered Petroleum Engineer in the State of Texas.
Mr. Devarajan joined Lantana Energy Advisors in October 2016. He has 11 years industry experience, including 3+ years in investment banking.
Prior to joining Lantana, Sarath was Vice President at Jefferies Energy Investment Banking group in Houston. His experience includes A&D and technical work in Permian, SCOOP/STACK, Eagle Ford, Powder River and DJ Basins. He was amongst the earliest in A&D to establish a consistent zonation scheme across the entire Permian basin to accurately identify landing benches for 1000+ horizontal wells. He has presented technical and strategic thoughts with management teams at 150+ E&P companies and capital providers.
Prior to Jefferies, Sarath worked in consulting for 7+ years, where he performed and presented evaluation work in over 60 oil and gas fields worldwide - including Oman, Kurdistan, Offshore Brazil, Mozambique, East Texas, Alaska, India, Nigeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey and Russia.
Mr. Devarajan has a unique skill set covering Land, Engineering, Geoscience, Finance and valuation - including diverse aspects such as type curves, mapping, cross sections, landing zones, development models, completion metrics, data mining, M&A activity, well activity, acreage valuation, business development and strategy. Mr. Devarajan holds a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from UT Austin and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Mr. Azizi joined Lantana Energy Advisors in January 2018. Most recently, he was a Vice President at BNP Paribas, providing technical advisory for A&D activities across the Americas.
Prior to BNP Paribas, Mr. Azizi held reservoir engineering positions of increasing responsibility at Rex Energy and Cano Petroleum. Experienced with both unconventional and conventional reservoirs, Mr. Azizi focused on reserves reporting, type curve development, production forecasting, A&D analysis, and secondary and tertiary recovery projects.
Mr. Azizi holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Whitmire joined Lantana Energy Advisors in April of 2005.
Previously Mr. Whitmire was a Geoscience Technologist with Rock Solid Images and did extensive work in the Gulf of Mexico region and International areas. His Primary duties included developing Interactive Media that highlighted the firms Services, Products and Technology.
Prior to joining Rock Solid Images, Mr. Whitmire managed a Design Team for Waterous & Co., as a Multimedia Developer and Graphic Artist responsible for Authoring Multimedia Oil and Gas Divestiture Presentation and short movies highlighting the firms current Oil and Gas offerings.
Mr. Whitmire received a Multimedia Design degree from the Art Institute of Houston with honors and has over 30 years of design experience.
Mr. Yu joined Lantana in June 2015 as an Associate. His primary focus is on the reservoir engineering aspect of valuations, acquisitions and divestitures.
He was previously a Reservoir-Production Engineer with Americo Energy Resources, LLC. He has experience in reservoir surveillance, production engineering, waterflood recovery, artificial lift, field development, production forecasts, and reserve estimations.
Mr. Yu graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012 with B.S. degrees in both Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering.
Mr. Hoffner joined Lantana Energy Advisors in February 2017.
Prior to joining Lantana, Mr. Hoffner was a reservoir and production engineer for EnerVest and has worked the Appalachian Basin, Austin Chalk in Central Giddings and the Permian Basin. He has experience in property evaluation, reserve reporting, field development and production optimization.
Mr. Hoffner holds a B.S. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University.
With more than 20 years of executive assistant and office administration experience, Mrs. Creger provides support to the entire Lantana team and its clients.
Prior to joining Lantana Energy Advisors in October 2011, Mrs. Creger worked as an Executive Assistant/Office Manager for owners and executives at the CEO and CFO level. Her diverse experience has been focused primarily in the oil & gas industry, with experience in real estate development and investment banking for both public and privately held companies.
She is a graduate of Katharine Gibbs School in New York City.
